Eternal Sleep

Passing at the crossroads, each road unpaved

The sirens song tempts even the strong willed

Such holes in her chest will never be filled

A journey for those who cannot be saved

Thrown in the water, and burning alive

The thunder clashes and the demons scream

A prayer for the sin one cannot redeem

Why live if this is the price to survive?

The blade sinks in deep, and the rivers run red

Darkness moves in to claim the weeping sky

September reveals the finely cloaked lie

The wolves descend after the blood has been shed

Wounds from the burdens one chooses to keep

Desperate cries plead for eternal sleep
