Eternally

Im locked up and I can't get out

Prison is what I felt

Only to realize I dont know whats left

Of me

Are these my chains that you see?

Im locked up-feels like eternity

Eternally,

to be forced to conform

To the whims of my peers

While my teacher teaches me for what feels like years--

You dont see me and I cant see you

Tomorrow is what i'm looking for

When I can see you behind these bars

Only to be kept from being me

Eternally

Jail bird is what I am

Jailbreak is what I seek

In breach of my contract of which you hold dear

Desperately Keeping me near

When will you ever let me go and be myself?

Never?

Okay.

I guess I’ll go back to my cell
