The silent crunch beneath your feet
over wind whipped snow and flushed cheeks.
Howling in your ear,
whispers of my heart.

Wailing sound of stone
Cold flesh against warm wood
One hand of dirt
The rest carried by stiff metal

I see the flowers, irises
I smell your perfume, lilac
Your dress as white as a lily.
I miss you Rose.

The weight of this is almost too much to bare
the threat of my soul caving in.
I'd give anything for you my Rose.
anything to live again.

Don't let them fool you dear.
Don't think I left you
Don't think I wanted to go
Do believe I'm still here
