Ethan's Story

Hello my name is Ethan

My mother was a dope feen.

She was a regular customer of my dad,

Who was dealing.

So at 13 that's when things changed

And the floor became my ceiling.

I lost my mom in July

And my dad was killed the next day.

The streets were never for him in any way.

Now social workers taking my case.

They said they'd find me a home in no time,

But it felt like no time had a slow pace.

So I stayed in a foster home

With 15 other children.

The crazy thing is we all had the same face.

Out of 16 children,

We all were the same race.

So I concluded no one wants a dirty kid

That came from a messed up place.
