Ethereal

The blood in my veins

The air in my lungs.

The vitamins in my skin

Gifted so gracious by the sun.

They pale in comparison

Like a handshake to a hug

To the one thing in this world

That must've been sent from above

I latch onto to it

Clinging

Never dare to let go.

I'm a parasite to its existence

Moonlit by its glow.

It's seen me through,

The darkest of nights

Watching from a distance

But never out of sight.

It fills me with warmth

Sustaining my life on the coldest day

Others claim it's for fools

But I don't care what they say.

What is it you ask?

My lifeline that helps me cope.

I'd give up life without it.

You can guess it, I hope.
