A EULOGY TOO LATE

A EULOGY TOO LATE

you looked outside the window,

And felt emptier than a grieving widow.

Wished for something new but life took a turn,

One that left you deep in the heart of a flame,

And now am left with nothing more than a memory and a blame.

we lost a boy whose life will never be the same,

He looked like you, with hair like you,

He arms were just as soft as yours but I know it was not you.

You’re still here with me, keeping me company,

And all the people here believe you’re no more don’t worry I know its not true.

Maybe I need a doctor to get through the trauma,

I miss you so bad it’s left thinking of all the times we spent in old Alabama.

It’s like your memories are a stream and am the ocean flow,

It’s like am the poet and your memories are the beautiful words meant to heal a broken soul,

I’m hallucinating your presence, I know.

Time moved so fast I feel like our lives have been nothing but a tv show,

I stare above the skies and still see them same flare.

For something I just feel your presence too strong its like you’re really here.

I know not whether its true or am just lost within my own fear,

Maybe it’s really or maybe it’s just a eulogy too late.
