Euphoria

I don't have scars

I've never felt the tension

and the sweet release

a surprise so pure

and innocent

Breaking the surface

raw, primal pain

sharp breaths

Tangy, coppery

powerful

So much warmth

from inside me

Warmth I didn't know

I had— spilling out and

spreading

Across my hands

down my arms

pooling in my lap

hazing my vision

Another line

symmetrical

parallel

The only thing I can control

power shaking in my right hand

trembling in my left

No,

I don't have scars

that you can see
