evanescence

we laughed ‘till we wept,

but it’s over now.

the serendipity

is back dug into the ground.

and we felt how depressing beauty is,

cause we know it’s bound to die; indelible bliss.

it’s not like we can stay forever,

we’re bound to age and change like the weather.

and like the pretty leaves of a willow tree,

they’re bound to fall and crush under our

feet.

and like the druggies swaying in ecstasy,

they’re bound to wake up from their reverie.

only if i could stop time every once in a while,

just to bask in the loveliness of your smile.

only if i could keep this redamancy alive,

and we’ll erase these gospels tattooed on our thighs.

and no one ever told us kids what happens after

the fairytale ends, cause it’s a disaster.

and no one ever warned us about the secret, hidden chapters;

and no one ever mentioned how the characters shatter, and have their being ripped apart with their heart served on a platter.
