Even Freaks Need Friends

She wants to give up and get out She’s waiting for when what she wants is hers So far she hasn't got a thing Nothing, nobody, no one All she needs is a friend Not family and not fake Something, somebody, someone To be there for support To catch her when she falls, Falls to pieces all over the place Going home to be defeated by her dad, Going home and cutting when she’s sad. She cries herself to sleep, All because of some creep She was raped by a “friend,” She wishes this would be the end. People look and think she’s a freak, She’s a freak for being different, A freak for having scars They judge her by those scars, Scars on her wrist But that’s just how she chooses to deal With everything that’s going on, Going on with everything, everyone, everybody She needs help from a friend She gets sad that she has no one, No one to talk to, No one to share secrets with, No one to laugh and smile with. She thinks no one will want to be her friend, No one will ever care, Never comfort her when she cries. But she found someone, Someone who wanted to help, Wanted to listen, Wanted to comfort her and see her happy He was her one and only friend He loved her with his whole heart That’s when she realized, Realized that even freaks need friends.
