Even If You Never Know
I walk the path where you once passed,
The dust still whispers of your feet.
I carry love that will not fade,
Though silence makes my heart discreet.
The river sings, the hills reply,
But you don’t hear my quiet song.
I watch you smile, I watch you dream,
And still I follow all along.
Even if you never know,
My soul is bound to you alone.
Even if you never turn,
This heart will carve your name in stone.
At dawn I see your shadow rise,
The sun adorns your gentle face.
I pray the winds could carry mine,
A secret vow, a soft embrace.
The stars at night, they burn for you,
Their light reflects my hidden plea.
I write my love on mountain peaks,
But only heaven reads for me.
Even if you never know,
My soul is bound to you alone.
Even if you never turn,
This heart will carve your name in stone.
I’ll plant my hope in fertile ground,
Where blossoms bloom though none may see.
And when I’m gone, the earth will keep
The tale of love that lived in me.
So let the world forget my name,
And let the years in silence flow.
But still my spirit walks with yours,
Even if you never know.
