Even in my Rawness

You love me even in my rawness— Like when I’m half naked And the fat has nowhere to hide— Or when my mind isn’t corseted By politically correct dresses. When the words just force Themselves out like a fire Or a flood of light upon the Parting of window curtains. And every freckle and mole Breathe in the fresh air. When I want to hide From people (who scare me), And I tell you you’re the Worst of them all. You love Me still, and I’m getting a little closer to the rawest of my skin.
