Ever Lasting Friend

In silence that coud cut bones

A sound echoes off the stones.

Who dares interrupt my thought

With something ceap and bought?

Who is selling trinkets and toys

To fill the world with noise

Though I will have a look

If you are selling  a book

For a book is a friend

Until the bitter end

Though the pages may be frayed

The meaning will neve fade.
