Everlast

Hollow hills rolling deep into the distance,

Silence is the only voice of reason to which one can listen,

hearts once made of the purest of gold,

over time now grown still and cold.

The sunset glimmers off of a black silhouette.

And I watch as another vessel is lower and it's fate is set,

but as is is manuvered through the blackest of night,

through the darkness arises a blinding light.

I beckon with snath curled in bony hand

as I watch families take their final stands

tears rolling, eyes glassed

looking to the lost, and holding to the past,

and as another spark fades,

Everlast.
