Everlasting and Strong

From the bottom to the top

From the ground to nonstop

By the grace of God

By the pace of lard

Slow and easy

Bitter but pleasing

I am where I am

With the support

Not of Uncle Sam

But of Grandad

Backing my every decision

Hoping and wishing

While brain is twitching

For the success of his grand daughter

Doing this for him

Looking down from heaven

Blessed to see his girl winning

One day it'll all be worth it

From foster care

To permanent love and wit

Doing so good

Like he knows I should

So I keep going

Pressing on

He's the push

Grateful for the bond

Everlasting and strong
