Everlasting Hope

Excreted into this life knowing nothing at all

Varied shapes surrounding me

Even though I was expected to stand tall

Relentless fear was what I started to see

Lingering from middle to high school

Acquiring the mask of faked emotion

Sinking further and further from an unwinding spool

Thinking why keep moving on through all this pointless commotion

I then met a boy that only knew poverty

Neglecting his status born he looked at me mockingly

Giant dreams still spilled from his mouth knowingly

He helped me realize something I could not

Overwhelming and destroying my already faded mask

Pondering his hopeful dreams I was taught to always shoot my shot

Everlasting hope was his name and he finally returned to me from his long sought out task
