An Everlasting Winter
The nuclear weapons were demons, wreaking havoc everywhere
Our beautiful Earth destroyed, damaged, and devastated
Nature rapidly changing like never before
An irreparable loss that cannot be fixed
Nothing to do but pause and stare
The sky looks like black licorice, the sun no longer shines
A shadow flies across the planet
Everlasting darkness closing in
Unable to see the stars twinkle
It is too late to change these hideous war crimes
Once the dancing, angry atomic fires take their final breath
A winter cold and sinister as never before encompasses the world
A shiver that never leaves
Fridgid bodies and hearts
Earth thrust into the wispy fingers of death
Another dead planet joins the Milky Way
Our world becomes the sister of Mars
Life will slowly slip away
Maybe Mother Nature will rescue mankind from these terrors
Or maybe this is her way of making us pay
