Every Day Magic

Golden sunshine,

my favorite color.

Flipping through worn out books,

skimming to find words that speak.

Taking out my pencils and sketching paper,

imaging what how to add color to a blank canvas.

My dog flopping his head on my lap,

looking at me with his sky blue eyes.

Putting on my favorite song,

letting ideas and thoughts run across my closed lids.

Seeing the sky erupt into a rainbow of color

every single night.

Some people think its silly,

to think there could be beauty

in the every day routine.

To find inspiration

in the simple things.

But every day is filled with magic,

and these magical moments,

is where I find my inspiration.
