Every Now and Again
Maybe I've been moving too fast
Put a black sheet over my past
Can't see it
Fighting demons in a quiet space for a season
Cold blood warrior I guess I'm anemic
And they murder me for treason I betrayed them with my reason
Packed up moved away the whole town leaving
Everybody left but I came back sober
Late nights
Long flights
Vagabond's closer to my home now
Never ever thought I would go down
Sleeping in the light
Draw the blinds tight
Overbite
But in hindsight
I guess I could never really hold a candle to my fright
And expose it for the fake that it is
Fear constricting the kid
And I never really did it for the claps and the cheers
It's just really for my sanity
It snapped through the years
But every now and again I find some peace
Sunshine blinding me
Brighten up my iris
Tick Tock Tick Tock be quiet
I need silence
Hush
No one ever call me on my life
Sometimes I move fast
Cause too I'm anxious
And sometimes I sit stagnant
Balling up papers
