Every prince needs his princess

But what if he wanted a prince

Would he be shunned and forgotten

Or perhaps placed in a tower

Or would he be welcomed with open arms 

Still loved by his mother and father

Every prince has their own story

They’re all different, but also the same

Whether they are left for dead

Or experience unimaginable love

They all eventually step up and confess

Proving their ability to lead by leading themselves

There are no happily ever afters

No fairy tale endings

But these stories are real

Affecting the LGBT youth everyday

Whether you accept them or not, you must admit

They are brave souls in every way
