Every step I take, I

Every step I take, I am well alert that someone is peering into my personal life, draining most of my interior energy, searching me up to down, speculating, analyzing, scrutinizing a way to take me down without stirring a commotion. Many times I greet, I pinpoint something gleam in the light of the person’s smile. Through time I deciphered that it wasn’t braces but daggers hidden to strike in any moment. O how mankind is such a hypocrite. They hate the word jealousy yet manifest it so often. There are also times when I am looked at differently. I see admiration seethe through their eyes. Their vision never crosses over what I have nor what I possess. They look at my traits and perceive what most men cannot. They detect pure hearts and feed them with extravagant power. They put trust in those that seem trustworthy. When I greet these men, all I see is pride and intense purpose and meaning in their lives. Yes, I do see something gleam in their smiles. I see hope and love, passion and protection. O how mankind can be so merciful and loving. Sustenance is given at most to them by their Lord, and they attempt to give as much as they can to their fellow brethren. This is the community I live in. It is on a balance, between the truth and evil, between the jealous and the caring, between the hating and loving. This is the world we all live in. The question proposed therefore must not be whom I am, yet whom I am trying to be.  Which of the two groups can I conceivably classify myself? Can I boldly claim that I love yet still behold hatred? Can I daringly say that I care when I still act selfishly? Can I possibly say that I am of the trustworthy when I still lie? No, I cannot classify myself yet. I am undefined. All I can say is whom I want to be. I plead to become good hearted and prevent the cold blooded.
