Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall
Tears are shed with cruel pain,
with skies that cry of dreadful rain;
the palest face that hides a frown,
a broken girl draped in a black gown.
The bright young sun that hides in flames,
pale white sky, it’s all the same;
and wolves do howl as loud with cries
as fire lights fall from the skies.
A broken soul with wings that hide,
the girl who wants her God by side;
the girl who dreams of love so true;
the girl that swallows gray and blue;
the girl who longs’ for loves’ true kiss,
as her face hides in the deep mists.
Mistakes she makes un-continuously,
and speeches said so righteously;
she lost the purest side of her
and watches as she slowly burns.
With anger’s doings, cur-sed words,
and doves of white, with blues of birds
lays stiff in grass while earth spins;
the girl who does regret her sins
