Everyone Is Ignorant

Everyone is ignorant

This I believe to be true

But believe me dear,

No one is more ignorant than me and you

I could write a letter

But that’s not my cup of tea

I’d much rather write you words in the form of poetry

The relationship is broken

According to my mother

We’re not broken, just bent

Said the daughter

It takes two to tango

And two to see

That the product of this relationship

Isn’t based completely off of me

It’s my fault as much it is yours

We should fix the problem right from the source

My dear you are

The most manic, manipulative, and moodiest person I know

You erupt like a volcano

But you love like no other

Almost like my mother

Alas, said the daughter

This is as genuine as poems get

Unless you’d prefer me to write standard letters instead
