Everyone's Nightmare

What's that thing that’s creeping

Behind you in the dark?

What's that thing that's slinking

Away from any spark?

What’s that sound of breathing

You hear when you’re alone?

What’s that sudden biting wind

That chills you to the bone?

You sense there’s something hiding

In the corner of your eye.

You think that something's following

But it never passes by.

You tell yourself it's nothing.

You say it's just pretend.

But when the sun is setting

As darkness does descend,

You know that it's a risk

That monsters do exist.
