Everything

It took me countless hours,

It took many nights,

restless I sat

trying to decipher you.

You couldn't see

how beautiful you were

in the darknest silence

or in the loudest light.

God only knows how

much I cried,

(I tried to tell you a million times)

You are the air I breathe

and the music I hear

you are the light my heart sees

and you are the kiss I savour upon my lips.

You always saw yourself as nothing

but you were everything.

Nothing more than everything.
