IS Everything Awesome?

I look around and I see so much sadness

People are hurt, broken, dying

It can be a lot to handle at any given time

I feel guilt and like it's hopeless

Why should anyone bother trying?

Like trying to be happy is some kind of a crime.

But it's not. That can never really be true.

Wishes are being granted, songs are being written

The sun shines every day

Rainclouds might cover it in a grey and sad hue,

But happiness is just behind the misty curtain

The sun is always shining, in its own way.

There will be pain, and it cannot always be good

But EVERYTHING IS AWESOME, if you just take time to look

Every cloud has a silver lining, there are diamonds in the rough

Most have known for a while, and everyone really should

It's written in every sacred text, scroll, and book

EVERYTHING IS AWESOME, but sometimes it gets tough.

There will be darkness, there will be light

There will be silence, there will be sound

There will be war, there will be peace

There will be day, there will be night

There will be scarcity, there will be plenty abound

There will be times to fight on, there will be times to cease.

To everything, there is a season, but that is a barrel of lies. .

Because EVERYTHING IS AWESOME, you just have to have to open your eyes.
