Everything Happens for a Reason

Everything happens for a reason.

That‘s what I was told.

When the waves crashed around me

And I had no one to hold.

Everything happens for a reason.

That’s what kept me sane.

When life would engulf me in a world of pain.

Everything happens for a reason.

That’s what I’d repeat,

When my world seemed empty and I felt beat

Everything happens for a reason.

I know see,

As I look at all the opportunities before me.

Everything happens for a reason

I now believe,

As I unpack my bags at the school of my dreams.

This poem is about the one idea that I could not live without. I have faced a lot of hardships in my life, not speaking English and all, but no matter what happened, I knew that everything happened for a reason. This notion drived my pursuance of success and helped me stay strong.
