everything I could

is it because I don’t have blue eyes and blonde hair

or is it because I’m not interesting enough

what is it about me that keeps you away

because I have done everything I could

I lost weight to a point where it’s unhealthy

and I dyed my hair red to stand out and look brave

so tell me, what am I doing wrong

because I have done everything I could

I have done everything

I have done everything I could

to make you look at me, talk to me

to make you SEE me

I cared, I listened

I shared, I helped

when no one else did

I LOVED, for God’s sake

but I give up

I’m done trying, changing

because I have done everything

EVERYTHING that I could
