everything i could never tell you

one breath,

and i hesitate

another breath,

and i freeze

a final breath,

and i've fallen completely.

no one knows my name, cause

you’d only call me beautiful

and you touched me without

ever laying a hand on my body.

you're hearing me

but are you really

hearing me?

feeling in extremes comes at the cost

of becoming easily attached.

help me understand your love,

what does your heart desire?

you're listening

but are you really

understanding?

being stuck in the honeymoon phase was

great until i was the only one stuck in it.

now there's no pot of gold in the rain-

bows we chase, but we still hold on.

hold on, you're trying

but are you really

making an effort?

oh, i fall apart but the bitterness won't

ruin me, and rejection hurts less than no

Clarity at all, so please don't speak

to me in conflicting tongues.

lay me down softly
