Everything I'd Say if I Could Say Anything

Just like my dad, when it got hard, you'd leave

I was never a fan of running,

But I am quite fond of chasing.

Perhaps, I told you too much

My past passed,

Yet I kept in touch

And pulled you into my VIP Pity Party

(Such a handsome date, but there was no dancing, sadly.)

I know

You can't date depression

You can't adore anxiety

And I wish someone would tell me that I cannot continue to love a lie

But I have to wonder how this thing would’ve gone down

Had you loved me around the frown

I've long confessed that this girl is a mess

I don't even blame you, Love

Maybe leaving was the only choice left...

So this is goodbye

And this is hello

This is I'll see ya

And baby, please don't go

This is she's pretty,

But don't you miss me?

This is I won't say I love you.

... But Lord knows I do

This is I hope you’re happy- literally and sarcastically

This is

PLEASE DON'T READ THIS

But please don't forget me...

This is

        Sincerely, Rhi

P.S. I've yet to find the good in goodbye. My smile is my own little lie.
