Everything reminds me of you

Everything reminds me of you

How the sun shines in the sky, deep blue

Much like how you shone in my blue life

Those memories still cut me like a knife

I keep thinking about how you left

Without even asking how I felt

You were the shield of my heart

Protecting me from the sadness when it tore me apart

Now my heart has drowned

Recalling the sight of your frown

All the times we spent together

Have been carried away by the waves of the water

I watch it all swim away

Knowing that time can never stay

I just want you to remember

Before you leave my mind forever

It was nice to have a friend

Right until the end
