Everytime
The time here, it passes so slowly
and my life's mistakes encompass me so wholly.
These passing faces
all in a rush to the races
and you can feel so alone
in a home that's well known.
You're lost in the crowd,
your head too far bowed
trying to hide the tears
that came too early for your years,
cuz everytime it rained
the sadness, it coursed through your veins
and everytime the moon came out your heart broke,
it broke without a doubt.
You've been missing for so long,
you forgot to hear the words of life's sweet song.
The whispers on the street
come off my ears like sleet
cuz begging for mercy and wishing for sight
is like a blind man who only sees the night.
It's like the man who's always hoping
but lifes too hard so he turns to doping.
Stuck in a nowhere
only ever hoping to go somewhere,
Cuz everytime it rains
these thoughts, they course through my veins.
