Evident Love

Hey I love you and I mean it this time.

No, I really mean it this time.

Meawhile brotha plotting for sexual exploits

How do we say our women Queens and then set traps for them.....

To bring them to their knees?

Don't say its because I love her and I wanna get to know her

What is true love anyway?

Destroying our seeds for pleasurable deeds

I asked the porter and he said love is a gateway

I asked momma and she said niggas' aint ****

I asked father and he said keep away from the pen

I asked myself and I said keep away from the mirrors kid

In a generation with love professed from lips

Why does it seem to be missing?

Love is one of the most used words in the dictionary and I find it used with the most hateful modes of  human existence.

We say

I love getting high

I love doin drive-bys

I love having sex

I love stacking racks

I love killing children in the womb

I love my new app and eating chicken wings and crap

Is love synonmyous with the ianimate and dead?

ARE we so gieved in our souls?

Prancing around under mistletoes

Maybe thats it we've cursed ourselves into hate.

The world does love...It loves hate

Hiding it behind smiles and false one night affairs

Dating eternally our own destruction...

If only we could reverse call it Benjamin Button?

Sure I believe love exists

When you find God truly you'll find it

And maybe thats the problem

Seeing love as it

When we open up our eyes we will see righteous pure love as the embodiement of the soul

Perhaps we could learn that love is not a thing or a "it" but a person created in the image of God

Maybe then instead of speaking of love

We would live in love

No longer saying "Because I Love YOU"

Because the love

Well that will be evident
