Evolution of Color

You would kill a brother & disrespect your mother

But get mad when the lights uncover

The dreadful fate of a criminal w no shine

So imma just stop & read between the lines

& peep the greatness we fail to see

In our adolescence & pursue to be the greatest we can be

So I'll let you have the guns while I prevail

Living this life refusing to fail

Tryna' fight the stereotypes of the young black male

Cuz they wont stop till they see me not breathing & pale

So i'll just ride till I reach the sky

& progress myself as the days go by
