The Evolution of Humanity
After the Industrial Revolution,
Hypnos had to come to terms with an evolution.
With people working more and more,
Hypnos was nothing but a bore.
The people had less time of sleep,
So, he began to weep.
Now Hypnos sells beds,
to all the people who have lost their heads.
Hypnos sees people work overtime for the mighty dollar,
just to become as the kids say a baller.
He sits and wishes for people to sleep,
but people would much rather make money for their sheep.
As Hypnos leaves earth to find a new job,
he begins to sob.
His protection during the night was no longer needed,
Sadly the humans had become too conceded.
