Evolution of Life

Just a twinkle in our parents' eyes, born into a world full of mystery and surprise. We start off as an innocent baby, a pigment of our parents hopes and dreams, just maybe. We grow to be seen as these annoying, argumentive kids, who just wanted attention or atleast did. Loud and outspoken, while some were misunderstood and broken. Time goes by, we become teens, the opposite of parents allies. So called "rule-breaking delinquents", but it's all part of the worldy sequence. Back-talking, drama filled beings, stuck in the middle trying to find their meaning. Time passes in a blink of an eye, now we're at a 9-5 job working for the big guy. These are the years we start to live they say, so why are we doing the same routine every day? We realize what we're missing out on, but it's too late and then it's gone. Slowly we start to fade away from life, we start to wish we could live life twice. Maybe do everything differently, maybe live life more fearlessly.

ImproperlyUnderstood

I'm new to the entire writing my own poetry, but I've always loved reading poetry so please don't be harsh when it comes to critiquing my poems.
