Evolution of Our Selves

From birth ‘til death

we see

the blinding darkness

or does that mislead us?

Our souls

stuck in

this ever-evolving

plane of Existence

So small we are

in the grand cosmos

that we forget

to forgive.

So enraged we

are by

miscreants

of fate

that we strike out

blinded by rage,

destruction,

and vengeance.

As preached by

legions of fallen legacies,

we need not

obliterate our enemies.

All of our efforts

are shrouded in darkness

yet we proclaim

that the light is on our side

to transcend prejudice,

we need only look

towards the light

and maintain vigilant against the darkness
