Ex-Friends

As the victim you always seem to wonder 

Why?

                                        But, the perpetrator only seems to wonder 

                                        How?

The victim feels a feeling like no other:

Betrayal.

                                       The perpetrator feels a more lighter feeling:

                                       Confusion.

The victim feels 

Hurt and Pain

                                       While the perpetrator also feels the 

                                       Same

A complex feeling is introduced in this situation:

Anger

The victim feels angry just 

Remembering

Remembering the good times they had,

The laughs they shared,

The way they were an unstoppable force,

Not a force to be reckoned with

She realizes that it was temporary

They were temporary.

                                         Now, the Ex-friend feels angry at 

                                         Themself

                                         Angry at their good memories,

                                         At the fact that they both never had issues,

                                         If she had a mental “emergency contact list”

                                         The victim’s name would fill up the top space,

                                          It was the first time she felt that way

                                          She also realizes that this was only 

                                          Temporary

It seems like she didn’t realize what she had, until it was

Gone
