Examine

Examine

Romans 13:14

14 Instead, put on the Lord Jesus Christ,

and make no provision for the flesh to arouse its desires.

“Examine yourself daily”

The flesh has to be confined.

In the place called “the curse”

There is the place of death

It’s every thought and action

And righteousness of its own

So offensive to the Savior

In sin’s completed threat

We must be watchful always

Ensure we’re fully in God’s will

The best we have to offer

is just like filthy rags

Unless the Lord is in it

directing His Intention

All things will come to naught

and we will wind up bagged

(in more than one way)
