An Exchange for Those Buggy Moments

Let’s give a moment of silence
for the tomato-red ladybug,
Who reminds us that ambling
is just as fulfilling as humming by
With those hard-to-see wings.

Let’s give a moment of cheers
to the plumpest dung beetle,
Who is as honorable as
any shielded warrior
For loving to deal with the dirty work.

Let’s give a moment of simply
offering a hand
To the gardens and grasslands
that allow the tomato-red ladybug,
And the plumpest dung beetle,
to thrive in buggy jives.

We ought to thank them
with any kind of gift, after all.
Your empty plastic bottle
just won’t do.
How about fetching some water
Beyond the city walls
And pouring a misty shower
Like Victoria Falls?
