Exhausted Sky

You can think of no better use of time, Than to wait on things of importance divine. To watch the sand slip through its hourglass, To watch the clock's arms at each seconds' pass. Waiting in bliss for the light to turn green, Class to be over, and the bell to ring. At your favorite store standing in line, The person before you taking their time. You take time to notice the subtle things. Skillfully waiting the microwaves ding, The phone to ring, your ride to arrive, These are the moments for which you're alive. You study a face, a fascinating con, The commercials end, when your show comes on. Dust on an object, a dent in the wall, A fanciful oblivion you recall. How you admire the way which you spend, Irreplaceable dreams, held with an end, To breath in the air of exhausted sky, Like cars of a train passing time by. by Shannon England
