Existence Passing

I tried to listen

mind wide open

thoughts unbroken

There has never really been a beginning

although I have been living for a long time

Sometimes in the dark waiting

for someone I don't even know is alive

Never would I have thought

that you wouldn't listen to my silence

Never ever would I have known that

you wouldn't recognize my existence

The hours, days and years of wandering

the hopes and dreams of each second passing

Mere existence of the traits I attained from you

that I have no control over and no clue

Surpassing the clouds and the people

of this empty space they are entangled in

Where people decide someone else's fate

to drown or swim deep down under sin

I know none of this is my fault

but I can't point the finger to someone else

I should be feeling something

instead I feel nothing

We haven't tangled this web we weaved

because there was never really you and me

Lifetimes spent far apart in different paths

never knowing if that day was your last

Growing distantly because we weren't close

to begin with something that just happened

I know how this might go

and how it might play itself out

I think that when it is over or started

that I won't go back anymore to all the thoughts wasted.
