An Exit

I write to escape To feel free from the chains That bind me to my dull, ordinary life I write to escape To say the things I usually wouldn't The profanities of the boiling anger I feel I write to escape The feeling of being unwanted To document and tell my story To say that I AM HERE WORLD I Exist, I Breathe, I Live I write to escape From the outside world The pressure of others Into my own To find freedom, joy, and peace Plus love I write to escape The frustration of not knowing Not knowing words or spelling Or jokes I write to escape From the pain of the sting of tears That fall and fall and fall Dripping droplets of water down my face that BURN!!! I write to escape The only thing that keeps me sane In a cruel world that is so inhumane A place that doesn't understand or accepts me I write to Escape
