Expectation

Luke 6:43-44 New English Translation (NET Bible)

43 “For no good tree bears bad fruit, nor again does a bad tree bear good fruit, 44 for each tree is known by its own fruit. For figs are not gathered from thorns, nor are grapes picked from brambles.

Sad

Why does reality disappoint? Why does reflection hurt?

To observe past mistakes resurfacing in our children

Why are our grandchildren made out of similar dirt?

And have the same disposition as my mother’s children

An apple does not fall too far from the tree that bore it

It is so with babies as they make their first yelling sound

Their parents living about at par and learn to adore this

Thinking that the next generation will bring a better round
