Expectation vs. Reality

She was an inch shorter
than a mountain.
Said her name felt
like gravel in the mouth.
Graffitied her temple
with words of her favorite movies.
Dressed in her past
with exuberant colors and
accented with her current events.
Slept and walked on beds of nails,
she never slept and did not get herself up.
She lost herself for three years
and went looking for answers
in different countries.
