expectations.

We are raised to conform

Follow instructions like,

Hey,

Do this, do that

This isn’t good for you

If touch that you`d probably kill yourself. lol

From day one

We are told what is expected of us

Go to school

Get your grades high

You got to be the best

You can’t fail

Or you will live a poor life.

We put our fate

In the control of others

And wait to be judged.

Define ourselves with grades and numbers

That which makes us believe

We are not good enough

We live trying to prove ourselves

Day in day out

All because,

People expects.

Society expects and has its standards

Because our actions

Do not match their expectations.
