Expectations

No cuts to show, No bruises that glow, No signs of a blow No drunken deed Or drag of weed No needles that bleed No forced sigh, Or clothes that fly Or bared thigh A constant pout, A scream and shout, “You’re not good enough” A broken heart, Falling apart, “You have no dedication” “I just don’t see, How you could be, Better than me.” I’m not you, I can, too, Stand up and be strong. I believe in me.
