Expectations

Expectations... "These are our expectations"

That's all I ever hear!

Always telling me how to look

How to Eat

How to believe.

But I don't follow your rules

With all I do

I do for my sisters

They won't fall in the hands of society.

See I came from a drug user

Who tried to kill himself

I came from a single mother

Who worked two jobs

I came from a destroyed motherland

Who has no future.

With all, I have seen

The discrimination and hatred

I have not seen change

I don't care what you have to say

Grab your expectations and I'll see you to the door.
