Expectations

Normally we all expect to rule the world

We expect to be the best since we were all big-eyed children

Astronauts, Teachers, Kings, Queens

Yet at the end of the day we are only expectations

Dreams.

Smart

Until ranked

Beautiful

Until standards change

These are the expectations of society.

We are all drifting leaves in the barren tundra of life

We expect to be a tree when we are just a simple leaf apart of a bigger process

It depends on whether we believe are a branch, a twig, or a leaf

Does it matter?

If we all fall off the thick, twisted trunked tree in the end.

Do we reach the sun or do we stay in the green filter caused by others that prevent us from prospering

Or are we all really just planted in a place and meant to stay there

Perhaps it is just another cloudy day until a clear sky shows you other wise

Or is that just another expectation of ours to have this hope?
