Experiencing South Korea

I want to see my heritage.
I don't want to be ignorant of my culture's unique beauty.
I want to experience the elaborate celebrations.
The lively colors of the hanboks,
And the graceful fan dances that are preformed.
My mother tells me that Spring in South Korea lets nature sing.
The cherry blossom trees thriving.
The petals looking like pink snow falling in the parks.
I want to see them.
I'm sure South Korea has changed much
In the thirty years since my mother has seen it,
It must've become very modern,
South Korea is surely a wonderful place.
A new experience,
Something to change my perspective.
I want to see it.
I want to see my heritage.
