Exploring Night
As the sun sets beneath the clouds
The moon pears out and around
A million stars fill the sky
Where at the same point everyday
It breaks the tie, between night and day
Night is strong but nor day falls far behind
So quiet and calm
A comet so bright shoots threw the sky
For little kids to gaze upon
And get there wishes and hope up high
Children snuggled tight in their beds
Close their heavy eyes and rest their dreary heads
The peaceful night carries minds
Which makes you feel free to unwind
As the darkness engulfs empty time
Dreams escape and break lose
From the tight shut box trapped in your mind
Dreams filled with laughter and fear
That only in your imagination it seems clear
And as night rolls on and out past space
Bodies relax, eyes are at ease
And smiles gazed up above the stars
Where you can be who you are
And where day waits upon…
